After only three years as professor of theology and canon law, Father was promoted by his peers to Academic Dean of Mount St. Mary's Major Seminary, Graduate School of Theology, in Emmitsburg, Maryland. -- However, the biggest "promotion" received that year was, --- in Father's own words, -- "the one Uncle Sam granted me": United States citizenship, on May 9, 1955.
