Ad munus magistrorum seminarii eligantur sacerdotes
non doctrina tantum, sed etiam virtutibus ac prudentia praestantes,
qui verbo et exemplo alumnis prodesse possint.
To the office of professor at the seminary shall be appointed men qualified
not only by their learning, but also by their virtues and good judgement,

With the opening of the 1952-'53 academic year, Father accepted the chair of moral theology offered him by the Council of Mount St. Mary's College and Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland, the United States' oldest (1808) independent interdiocesan Catholic major seminary.
